A group of Producers and I have recently completed a software application called CreditScout which allows a user to estimate film tax credits more easily than ever.

On August 15, Jarvus Film will be releasing
CreditScout, the first Tax Credit Estimator
for the film industry, to the public. With a core
functionality that taps directly into existing
industry-standard budgeting software such
as EP Budgeting, CreditScout seamlessly
links into a producers pre-production workflow
and provides dynamic results.

CreditScout gives producers an informed
take on what tax credits are available in
each state or Canadian province based on
their budgets. The application then provides
solutions and ideas for increasing credit,
and will soon introduce a network linking all
of the film commissions with these results.
CreditScout is constantly updated as tax incentives and rules change throughout the US and Canada. The
calculations and scenarios have been vetted and tested using thousands of previous models by several
industry veterans.
