Blowtorch is an entertainment company that joins forces with an online legion of young, creative thinkers to create both feature length and short form films. Those choosing to partake in the Blowtorch experience can directly influence our stuff or simply kick back and enjoy the delicious fruits of their peers? labors.

Like take this little contest for example?

We want you to submit a video of your best idea, and if our community green lights it, it?ll make it to the big screen. No Hollywood egos, no old boy networks, no casting couches, no bull crap involved.

The only direction we?ll give you is that it should be 1 to 3 minutes in length and have something to do with ?technology.? But, feel free to take that as a total point of departure. We have no pre-conceived singular idea of how ?technology? should be interpreted. Maybe it?s about the internet or the future or the past or robots or time machines or whatever. That?s all up to you.

The winner will have their idea included in our ?Blowtorch Shorts.? A little collection of provocative and hilarious live-action and animated films we put on before our feature films. And with distribution in hundreds of theaters nationwide your ass just might blow up.

The experience includes being flown out to LA, from anywhere in the U.S., all expenses paid, to work with our people who know people to get it made. In LA, you?ll help develop the idea, shoot it and also get in on all the good stuff that goes along with the whole production process.
