The American Film Institute's Directing Workshop for Women is now accepting applications for its 21st cycle. This is a fantastic opportunity for female directors looking to gain a foothold into competitive, creative industry without worrying about the cost of tuition.
Every year, eight women are selected from a field of applicants to be participants in the Directing Workshop for Women, where they will spend eight months at the AFI Campus in Los Angeles learning the skills they need to create their own films. From workshops to shooting to post-production, AFI provides these women with the knowledge, funding, equipment, and facilities to see their projects through from beginning to completion.
The early deadline for submissions is December 1, 2006 and the final deadline is January 5, 2007. Candidates can find more information, as well as downloadable applications, from the DWW website at:

This is an incredible opportunity for women, and I would be most grateful if you would spread the word to anybody interested.
Thank you!
