I know Uwe Boll is a terrible film maker. But by every look his movie "In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale" looks good. Yet its horribly. I just can't get through it (and no one else I know can).
Being a film student this is perplexing. Usually I can point out what the movie needs or is lacking. Help me.
Help me to understand, my brain is dying.
Why is this so bad? How could it be fixed?
Bad script, bad director, bad casting ('you're free this weekend? you're hired!'). Much of it actually looks pretty good, but that merely goes to show that anyone can make a good-looking movie if they have tens of millions of dollars to throw at a crew who know what they're doing.
I only managed to get half-way through; my girlfriend did watch the whole thing, but only by going through it in chunks over several days :).
