I am currently a senior in high school and I'm looking for some good undergraduate film schools that offer a degree in film production possibly specializing in directing. I want to know about schools mainly in the areas of the North East(specifically New York and Massachusetts) and California.

If you have some extra time during the summer, check out www.theworkshops.com ... It's the Maine Media Workshops in Rockport. I worked there for a few summers teaching film making basics. Depending on the course, you may gain a great understanding of the film making process.

Thanks that looks like a good place. Going into my Junior year I took a 2 week film making course at CDIA at Boston University in Waltham, MA. Right now I'm really looking for a film school that offers a degree mostly.
