Last year my screenplay 'The Republic of Frestonia' picked up 'Best Screenplay UK' at the London Independent Film Festival:

The story is based on real events in Notting Hill during the late '70s, in which a group of squatters declared their independence from the UK, forming their own republic.
You can watch promo film I made about the project and, plus more information at ?url? http://www.frestonia.org?/url?
Since winning the award, I've formed strong relationships with the original residents and worked closely with a Producer to develop my script further.
I'm interested in collaborating with a 1st time Director with a view to securing BFI funding to take the project further.
If this is a challenge you feel ready to take, then please get in touch.
Thanks,
Rob
