The 2nd Women Over 50 Film Festival (WOFFF) will take on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd October 2016 in Brighton, UK

Our submissions are open until July 31st 2016.

WOFFF vision: To create a filmmaking world where women over 50 thrive.

WOFFF mission: We engage audiences, build creative communities and celebrate films with women over 50 at their heart.

For a short film to be eligible for Women Over 50 Film Festival, it has to have:
a woman over 50 as the central character or
a woman over 50 in the core creative team (writer, director or producer)

Our jury, panel speakers and workshop leaders are international, award-winning female drama, documentary and animation filmmakers.

Prizes awarded for:
Best Animation
Best Drama
Best Documentary
Best Experimental Film
Audience Choice Award

Winning films will be screened at Brighton's Picturehouse Duke of York's as part of their Silver Screen programme.

Submissions to the competition must:
have a woman over 50 at the centre of the film OR have a woman over 50 in the core creative team (writer, director, producer)
be no longer than 20 minutes (animation, experimental and drama)
be no longer than 30 minutes (documentary)
be in English or have English subtitles

There is no production completion date limit on submissions for WOFFF
