17th Vermont International Film Festival

The Vermont International Film Festival accepts independent films of any length and genres that fit into one of the three categories: Justice and Human Rights, War and Peace, or the Environment.
Awards for Best Film, Short and Long will be given in each of the three subject categories. Selected films in the Environmental Category will compete for Ben & Jerry?s cash award. Selected films in all categories will also compete for the Heart of the Festival Award.
Rules and Regulations:
All films in the competition must have been completed within 24 months of the festival's entry deadline.
Non English language films must be subtitled or dubbed.
Preview format: VHS (NTSC) or Multi-Region DVD.
Screening Format: BETA (NTSC), DIGI BETA (NTSC), 35mm, Mini DV,
Non-refundable entry fees:
? Short films less than 30 minutes: $ 25.00 (US dollars)
? Long films 30 minutes or more: $ 45.00 (U.S. dollars)
Payments from outside the United States must be made by international money order or by a check written from a U.S. bank. VIFF does not accept credit cards.
Festival Notification: You will be notified as to the status of your entry by e-mail on or before September 1. Except in emergencies, please refrain from calling our office for the status of your entry. The Selection Committee decisions are final.
