I have a slate of films that I plan to produce at low- and ultra-low budgets (e.g., under $700K and $250K. One method I'm considering to try to obtain some production financing is to try to find investors at this year's American Film Market (AFM).
But, I was also wondering whether many films at that budget range do, in reality, find buyers/financiers there. Or, should I focus on other options to find funds? If you have experience with trying find the financing at AFM and other such events for films with similarly small budgets, please reply.
No. The AFM is for sellers and buyers. If you had a
slate of finished films for sale the AFM would be the
place.
An established production company with many finished
films may get some advances for the right films. Do
you have a strong track record of finished films in
that budget range?
