IT'S BACK!

It's that time of year again when filmmakers from across the UK have no sleep for 48 hours straight because they'll be far too busy making a 5-minute movie!

The 2006 challenge is taking place:

SATURDAY 2ND SEPTEMBER 2006 9AM SHARP ODEON CINEMA (FORMERLY UCI) MERRY HILL CENTRE, DUDLEY

This is the same venue as last year. The cinema has just had over ?1 million spent on it upgrading the facilities since the 2005 competition so it is the perfect venue for this chaotic event.

For those not familiar with the rules of the competition, here they are in a nutshell:

> On the day you will be given a FILM TITLE, a FILM GENRE and a LINE OF DIALOGUE all of which must be used in/for your movie
> Your movie must be exactly 5-minutes long
> You have just 48-hours to complete the project

There is a whopping ?500 prize for the best film made (estimated based on the 2005 competition). Entry only costs ?20 per team of which all profits go to charity.

And the best bit...

ALL FILMS MADE WILL BE SHOWN ON THE BIG SCREEN AT THE ODEON MERRY HILL CENTRE!!!

If you speak to anyone who entered last year, the most memorable part for them would be seeing their own work on a cinema screen. A truly exciting moment for any budding filmmaker.

So come one, come all. If you have ever thought about making a film, now is the time to do it. If you are already a pro, come show the others how filmmaking is done - EVERYONE IS WELCOME

HAPPY FILMMAKING!
