The Texas Film Festival began in 1993 to promote film as an artistic medium. Our focus remains the education of students and emerging filmmakers. The largest student-run film festival is sponsored by the non-profit student organization, MSC Film Society of Texas A&M University. The Film Society is a fifty-two-year-old programming and production committee within Texas A&M?s student union, the Memorial Student Center. The student volunteers of the MSC Film Society continue to improve this competitive, invitational festival, while retaining our original intention to highlight independent, minority and student filmmakers from around the world.
