We are accepting films by college and independent filmmakers in animation, documentary, experimental, and narrative films and videos, in short and feature lengths by filmmakers who live or work in Brooklyn; films that are made in Brooklyn; and/or films that are about Brooklyn.
Eighth Annual Women of African Descent Film Festival

We are accepting films by youth (K-12), college, and independent filmmakers in animation, documentary, experimental, and narrative films and videos, in short and feature lengths by women filmmakers of African descent ? local, national and international (including screenwriters, directors and producers).

Brooklyn Focus
Distinguished Brooklyn filmmakers panel presentation open to the public.
Cash and in-kind prizes: Minimum of $250 cash prize to Best of Festival and complimentary admission to Ela Thier's weekend-long screenwriting workshop: Story Structure & Creative Explorations.
Lower entry fees overall with additional reduced fees for short films/videos (under 50 minutes)
