My friends and I are thinking about finally making a serious film to submit to a festival sometime soon and we had a question. Do most higher end film festivals require the entry to be shot on film or are more allowing digital entries on DV?

Most wont accept your film to be handed in on a DV tape. If you are filming DV they usually require you to submit it on DVD. But yes most film festivals these days do accept projects that have been filmed on DV.
