Has anyone had a flim/video in this festival? It sounds great with workshops and networking. The entrence fee is much steeper than other festivals I have entered and I am wondering if it is worth it. I would appreciate any feedback about your experience and this festival. Thank you.

NY Independent Film & Video Fest is a huge scam! Stay away at all costs.
Here's how it works:
They accept every film they get in, then call the filmmakers telling them how great they their film is and that screening at the festival will do big things for them. (they sell you on paying them more money) Then they tell you about the $800 fee to screen and if your dumb enough to fall for it, they tell you it "you have to get a both to double your chances of selling your film at there "non existing" market. (about $1000)
NO real industry attends! It's a scam plain and simple. They even threatened to sue FilmThreat.com for trying to warn people about them. NOW YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
