LAS VEGAS, NV- The inaugural Comedy World Network International Film Festival is set to take place from November 29th thru December 2nd, 2018 in Las Vegas, NV. This new event, which seeks to share comedic content from all over the world, already has amassed upwards of 150 submission from all corners of the globe, with entries having been received from India, Iran, Spain, Israel, Australia, and Slovenia, to name just a few. The festival?s organizers are still accepting short films, web series episodes, 48-hour films, experimental films, animated films, music videos and just about anything that is funny and will make people laugh.

Leading up to the festival, monthly screenings will take place in Las Vegas and in select cities around the United States, previewing a sampling of content set to debut at the event. Screenings in Las Vegas are currently slated for the second Wednesday of each month. Additionally, the festival has launched an online 24/7 new media channel, The Comedy World Network available through the CWN network, Cable, Direct TV, Smart TV, Roku, iOS and Android Apps. The Comedy World Network is an organization which believes comedy is an advanced form of art and seeks to unify people around the world by sharing laughter from cities, countries, communities, and villages from around the world. A portion of proceeds from the festival and related events events will benefit the Comedy World Network Foundation, an organization committed to providing comedians with financial, medical, housing, and legal assistance as well as performance opportunities, with a special focus on the elderly and veterans who have paid their dues and find themselves in crisis due to illness, age and/or circumstance.
