The 13th annual LA Shorts Fest will run July 23-31 with many world premiere from some of the hottest short filmmakers in the world including celebrity filmmakers Scarlett Johansson, Courteney Cox and Demi Moore who will be in attendance. Opening night tickets are available now at www.laemmle.com or our website www.lashortsfest.com. This year's venue is the Laemmle Sunset 5 Cinemas on Sunset Blvd.

In addition, LA Shorts Fest is proud to present a number of featured guest experts in indie filmmaking at our Coffee Chat Series. Chats are held at noon every day at the Laemmle Sunset 5 Cinema complex and are included with admission ticket to the first screening of the day. Tickets can be purchased at laemmle.com

You do not have to be participating in LA Shorts Fest to attend these chats, they are open to the public.

July 25 Kim Adelman, indieWire columnist and author of MAKING IT BIG IN SHORTS, will talk about success in short filmmaking

July 26 Directors and Actors mix it up-our festival's film directors will talk with actors about finding talent for their films

July 27 Paul Weber, casting director at MGM Studios, will talk about finding the perfect cast for your film. Actors might want to catch this one!

July 28 Linda McDonough and Brian O'shea of Odd Lot Entertainment will discuss aspects of the industry including What to expect when meeting people in their field. How to be ready. What they are looking for.
What is the best way to get a green light on an independent project...

July 29 Darrien Gipson of SAG Indie,will discuss working with them.
