South Africa - Filmmakers are called to submit short films of between one and thirty minutes in duration, of any genre excluding music videos. The festival will be screened in DVD format. The 1st InniBos International Short Film Festival is a new addition to InniBos - the annual Lowveld National Arts Festival held in Nelspruit towards the end of June of each year. The previous InniBos Arts Festival was attended by 43 000 visitors. The Festival serves as a platform for International, South African and Afrikaans-speaking filmmakers to showcase their experimental, fiction or artistic video work, to audiences who celebrate the visual and performing arts. A further purpose is to draw filmmakers' attention to the scenic beauty, cultural heritage and splendid wildlife on offer by the South African province of Mpumalanga, of which Nelspruit is the capital city.
