BEWARE OF THE HOLLYWOOD UNDERGROUND FILM FESTIVAL!!!!
The following is a warning for all you filmmakers out there.
My name is Jose Cassella and I run a company called KSFILMS. Last year I submitted a short 24P high Def film called SENTENTIA to this festival.
They required a fee of $300(!!) and offered the following incentives (both verbally and in written form):
*Booth to promote film at event.
*The film would be submitted to 5 other festivals
*2 screenings.
These were all lies. The actual festival fee was $60!!!and nothing else was done for me.
I called months later to find out what happen and was told that the money was all gone and that there was only one person running the entire thing. I was promised my money back and a few months later the phone was disconnected and they are nowhere to be found.
The authorities were contacted and are currently following this case, so is the Better business bureau.
Please avoid this event and don't be an idiot like I was.
