Calling All Filmmaker?s!

The call for entries for the 2007 FAIF-AICAA International Film Festival is now open and we?ve made some changes! We listened to your comments, likes and dislikes. Like a fine wine we?re getting better with age and learning from the past. First there is our new and expanded awards categories for 2007, including bringing back the audience choice awards but this time we?ll be using electronic voting. We?ve reduced our entry fee to only $25.00, $20.00 for upgraded WAB members and past festival alumni. For 2007 we have also added a screenplay award competition category.

We have a new and much improved award that?s an impressive at 14? tall and 2.5 lbs and we?ve fixed the problems of the past like programs (new printing company) and returned to our original seven day festival to make it more affordable to attend for the duration. We?ve improved and expanded our daily seminars and workshops, guest speaker lineup and filmmaker events. And we?ve joined forces with the AICAA to bring you added benefits that will last year round and to insure the festival is successful and around for many years to come to serve your needs.

Plus let?s not forget that all filmmakers selected and attending the festival in 2007 will compete for a cash and prize?s worth over $150,000 plus networking galore and super promotions to really make the festival exciting and rewarding. We have made major changes to our marketing, advertising and promotions abilities including signing a two year $250,000 marketing deal to market the festival and help hype the festival?s selected films.

We?re working with travel partners to find you the best and lowest hotel rates possible, and expanding our media and industry guests to open new distribution to you during the festival as well as other filmmaking opportunities. We?re bringing back the requested filmmaker?s goodie bags and t-shirts and our new sponsorship department is in overdrive to locate, deal and sign sponsors to really make this festival zing!

Don?t wait for 2007 to begin, enter your films now! WAB online submissions for the festival are now open! Spread the word and tell your fellow filmmaker?s on WAB and everywhere to enter their films. And don?t forget to join our MySpace friends at http://www.myspace.com/faif_aicaa_iff and hype your films there too!

We?ll be updating the festival?s web site at www.MagicalFilmFest.com with the new schedule and lineup plus check out our new web site look and feel, and we?ve added a message board for you there too!
