Call For Entries Going Through December 1, 2006!
The Durango Independent Film Festival is about high quality film. We want the selected filmmakers, because of the films we have selected, to know that they have something to be proud of in being a screening filmmaker at DIFF! This doesn't mean all films not selected by DIFF are low quality...With DIFF, due to our committee process where each area (Features, Documentary's and Short Films) have at least five screeners, The selection process does come to choices at times of committee preference that can leave very good films unselected. DIFF stands by its selection process, however, as it has resulted in (7) seven academy award nominated or winning films screening in Durango and many other very high quality films being screened at the festival. It should be noted that All seven of these Academy Nominated or Award Winning films were selected for the festival before the academy nomination and/or award came through!
