The Cinema City Festival, which is held from August 26 to September 1, 2013 in Novi Sad, will officially open its call for ?Up to 10,000 bucks? selection on Monday, May 13. This is the competition selection that presents films shot with a budget of less than 10,000 dollars, and authors who had enough courage and creativity to make it happen. The call will be open until June 1, and anyone wishing to apply can do so by filling out a form found on the website of the Festival www.cinemacity.org/upto10000/.

?Up to 10,000 selection? is one of the most captivating selections of the Cinema City festival. Every year it discovers new talents and gives them the opportunity to assert themselves in the film industry. Programme selecor is Maja Milo?, director of ?Klip?, the winner of last year?s Cinema City Grand Prix for the best domestic film. The films that are applying cannot be shot before 2011. All film genres are welcome ? short films, documentaries, animated films, feature films, etc.

?Up to 10,000 bucks? selection has so far presented authors from Serbia, Italy, Croatia, Spain, Hungary, Holland, Israel, Germany, the USA, New Zealand and many other countries. Last year IBIS award for the best film was won by Sr#273;an Ke#269;a for ?Mirage?. As is tradition, this ensured him a seat among jurors for 2013.

Within the Cinema City Campus programme, which is dedicated to young film professionals and students, young talents will also be able to apply to Cinema City Campus workshops as of Monday, May 13. Thus they will participate in outstanding master classses, adopt the latest theoretical and practical knowledge and skills from the world of film.

At Fresh Danube Films workshop, which is supported by the European Cultural Foundation, twenty students and young filmmakers from the countries belonging to the Danube region will get a chance to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge from some of the most renowned film authors from that region.

The Film it LouD workshop wil be held by eminent European lecturers and will see twenty chosen young authors from Croatia and Serbia, who will later have an opportunity to work side by side in creating a documentary. This workshop is supported by the IPA cross-border cooperation programme Croatia ? Serbia, and co-financed by the EU.

Cinema City Campus is an educational platform that will not only provide the opportunity of participating in Fresh Danube Films & Film it LouD workshops, but will also become a gathering place for young film talents, a place where they can promote themselves and make first steps in the creation of future joint art projects.
