the 2nd Edition of the Cabo Verde International Film Festival (CVIFF) is taking place on the Island of Sal on October 13 16, 2011.

Submission is now open and films must be submitted through mail with no submission fee required and a film entry form must be filled out through the Festivals official website, www.cviff.org. Submission deadline is on Monday, August 15th.

The initiative to organize CVIFF was inspired by the morabeza and enchanting landscapes of the island of Sal. A paradise in its own rights, Sal is the perfect backdrop for a film festival experience. The mission of CVIFF is to bring together Art, Cinema, and Industry while creating a bazaar of exceptional global films and filmmakers. Cabo Verde is an archipelago of ten small islands located in the Atlantic Ocean approximately 500km off the West Coast of Africa.
