The Santa Barbara Jewish Film Festival is now accepting submissions to a Students Short Film Competition for students currently enrolled in high school or college. Students do not have to be Jewish to enter the competition. The theme for the contest is healing the world. Students may enter a film on DVD up to ten minutes in length in one of four categories: drama, documentary, animation, and comedy. The deadline for submissions is January 15, 2011. There is no entry fee, and winners will be awarded monetary prizes as well as have their films showcased at the sixth S.B. Jewish Film Festival on April 7-10, 2011 at the Paseo Nuevo Theater. For complete rules and an entry form, go to the Santa Barbara Jewish Film Festival web site at:www.sbjff.org. If you have questions, call Linda Schwartz, Students Short Film Competition chairperson at (805)692-1820 or e-mail her at LESatTLW?aol.com
