Inaugural Geek Film Festival Call For Entries
MIAMI, FLORIDA, FEBUARY 21, 2011 - Geek Film Festival continues its call for entries for its inaugural festival. Entries will be accepted via mail or digitally until May 10, 2011 at 6:00PM, Eastern time. Filmmakers are invited to send completed work to enter into the festival programming.
Filmmakers professional, amateur and student (high school and undergraduate) working in all disciplines and genres including narrative, documentary, animation and experimental are welcome. We are seeking films of geek interest including film with subjects relating to comics, gaming, anime, manga, science fiction, fantasy, RPG, and more. Fan made films are welcome. This is a juried festival with awards and prizes (to be determined).
The Geek Film Festival will take place at Florida Supercon at the Miami Airport Convention Center in Miami, Florida the weekend of July 1-4, 2011. Screenings will take place all four days with filmmaker Q&As, panels, parties and other programming - all of which filmmakers are invited to participate in. Filmmakers whose works are chosen to participate in the festival will receive two weekend passes to the festival and Florida Supercon.
