Attention Filmmakers!

Come and be apart of history by competing in The Wave Magazines First Annual San Jose Short Film Festival. The festival is dedicated to honoring and promoting short films while providing an outlet for local and national filmmakers, scriptwriters and all-around movie mongers to showcase their creative talent.

A selection committee will choose the films to be screened at the two-day event hosted at Camera Cinema 3 in Downtown San Jose, CA. on December 5 and 6. A three-panel judging committee will then choose the first, second and third place winners. A Viewers Choice award will also be voted on by the attendees.

Rules:
1. All films must be no longer than 15 minutes, including credits, and may cover any genre of film.
2. All films must be received no later than Oct. 30, 2009
3. All films must be submitted with a log line, short and long synopsis, press kit, and full list of credits.
4. All films must be accompanied by a San Jose Short Film Festival application completed in full.
5. All films must be accompanied by a check, money order or cashiers check made out to The Wave Media for $25.00 USD.
6. All films must be submitted on a DVD, NTSC format
7. All submission applications, DVDs and press kits submitted become property of The Wave Media and will not be returned.
8. Films will be judged in the following categories
Judges' Choice 1st, 2nd, 3rd
Viewers' Choice 1st, 2nd, 3rd (Decided by viewer votes)
9. Prizes include cash awards, prizes and trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place.
10. Contestants who are selected and have their films shown may request up to 5 passes for filmmakers and actors.
11. Short question and answer sessions may take place after screenings based on time available and if any filmmakers are in attendance.
12. A signed copy of the Terms and Conditions must accompany all submissions
