Ffwrnes Film Festival and Broadside have teamed up to host a festival that exhibits short films by new filmmakers, providing a platform for local, national and international filmmakers to engage with new audiences.
The only specifications are that the film must be a maximum of 30 minutes running time and the filmmaker must have no previous professional creative credits (e.g. writer or director)
English and Welsh language films accepted. Foreign language films require subtitles.
Judging Criteria
There will be 2 awards at the festival:
Best Overall Short Film- judged by a panel of industry professionals.
Best Short Film Public Vote- judged on the day by the audience.
The festival is an opportunity for you to show your creativity and potential so films will not be judged on technical aspects alone but judges will be looking for originality and a film that captivates them!
Submissions that are shortlisted will be informed prior to the festival.
Submission Deadline: Monday 22nd September by 4pm
