FINAL DEADLINE February 14th!

deadCENTER is the largest film festival in Oklahoma and was named one of the "20 Coolest Film Festivals" by MovieMaker Magazine and "Top Regional Festival" in Chris Gore's 'The Ultimate Film Festival Survival Guide.'

Last year, Director Nick Cassavetes judged our student film category. Mr. Cassavetes was in Oklahoma City filming his latest movie, Yellow, and is one of several prominent filmmakers who have made their way to Oklahoma recently, including Terrance Malick and Michael Winterbottom. Spike Jonze kicked off our 2010 festival with his film, The Birth of Big Air, about Oklahoma BMX legend Mat Hoffman.

Also, because every filmmaker?s ultimate goal is finding distribution for their films, deadCENTER 2012 is going to be the Year of the Distributor. At our Distribution Forum, we will host several distributors focused on the independent film market. And, every filmmaker who gets into the festival will be given a free opportunity to pitch their film or concept to a Distributor at the festival.
