The vision of the Fall Indie Fest was the inspiration of Red Rock Micro CEO back in 2005: To provide a showcase for independent films (with no distribution rights) and unsigned bands in an eclectic, fun location. Many of the larger film and music festivals have forgotten their roots. Fall Indie Fest will be promoted throughout the state of Texas and you must be a resident to enter. We are joining forces with a Kirtland Records to award the first place band with a record contract and we will also be partnering with a broadcast partner to air the winner of the independent films production.

The event will serve as a competition to both recognize and reward independent filmmakers and musicians from throughout the great state of Texas. The three day festival will include screenings of full length short films and concerts by artists from all genres. Screenings and concerts will begin Friday, October 8, 2010. The festival will culminate on October 10, 2010 with a reception and announcement of winners at the citys historic Uptown Theater.
