Dear Filmmakers,

The Big Cause Docu Fest is an annual event dedicated to harnessing the power of non-fiction cinema to generate measurable positive change in our community and beyond. We accomplish this by matching selected films with local champions, be them individual activists or social justice organizations, and working together to build active events around their theatrical presentations.

We are currently looking for entries for our 1st annual event to take place February 2-24, 2013, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The event is produced by Indie Film Force, a nonprofit organization that also produces the Charlotte Film Festival.

The Festival accepts entries in the following categories:

? Documentary Features
? Documentary Shorts
? Documentary Student Films

The competitive event is open to films and videos with production dates after January 2010. Entries must be Charlotte premieres.

Accepted entries are considered for at least one of the following awards:

? Big Cause Award ? Best Feature
? Little Big Cause Award ? Best Short
? Big Hope Award ? Best Student Film
? Best Cinematography ? in any category
? Best Editing ? in any category
? Best Music ? in any category
? Audience Choice Best Feature
? Audience Choice Best Short
? Audience Choice Best Student Film
