The Boulder International Film Festival (BIFF), sponsored in part by the Sundance Channel, is one of Colorado's most celebrated film events and has developed international recognition as a showcase for the best new films by today's most important new filmmakers and stars. At BIFF 2006, we hosted Golden-Globe nominated actress Maria Bello ?A History of Violence, The Cooler, Thank You for Smoking? along with many other stars, directors and producers, including Academy-Award nominee Eric Roberts, Screen Actor's Guild winner Marie Matiko, and Patrick Warburton ?Seinfeld?).
BIFF has the demonstrated ability to deliver huge, enthusiastic, film-hip audiences from the Denver metro area and the entire Rocky Mountain region. Over 8,000 filmmakers, national media, special guests and film enthusiasts attended the four-day BIFF 2006. Acceptance of your film for BIFF 2007 automatically places it in competition for the numerous Colorado Film Society Jury Awards, which include over $2,500 in prizes from Kodak.
Most importantly, BIFF is a festival run by and for filmmakers. Upon acceptance, we assign a filmmaker liaison to each filmmaker in the festival, and house you at an exclusive hotel and spa, just a few blocks from our main venue, the 850-seat Boulder Theater in downtown Boulder. There's great free food, great hospitality, and fantastic parties every night. All events, parties, films, and workshops are located within a 4-block radius on the legendary Pearl Street Mall.
The Boulder International Film Festival strongly encourages you to accompany your film to our festival... you'll have a great time at our filmmaker's forums and parties where you'll get a chance to rub egos with other accomplished filmmakers and with actors, distributors, and agents from throughout the world.
