Fellow Filmmakers,

My name is Eliot Baring and I am the festival director of The 2006 Mariachi Film Festival presented by The Shearwater Steiner School, which is being held on the 16th & 17th of September in the beautiful town of Byron Bay, Australia. An event put on by the students of The Shearwater Steiner School in Mullumbimby.
We are also proud to announce our guest judges Rachel and Anthony Smith. The team behind the cult surfing sensation Bondi Tsunami (www.bonditsunami.com).
The aim of the festival is to promote no-budget independent filmmaking. Entries are open to anyone under the age of 30.
As this is the first announcement of the festival the website is not fully finished but will be early next week.

Please note there is no entry fee for films made outside of Australia.
