The Delta International Film and Video Festival unspools Friday, March 30 and Saturday, March 31 at Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi. Festival weekend activities will soon be announced.
The DIFVF will be held in The Bologna Performing Arts Center, one of the most prominent arts and entertainment houses in the Southeast. The BPAC hosts such prestigious events as The Peavine Awards and performances of internationally-recognized musicians and performers. This season BPAC performances include those from the Soweto Gospel Choir, the Russian National Ballet Theatre, and The Glen Miller Orchestra.
Last year the DIFVF was very fortunate to have had David Appleby and Robert Mugge as guest jurors. The DIFVF is in the process of contacting prospective jurors for the 2007 festival. Please check back frequently for updates on this process.
Cash awards will be presented in all categories, including Best Feature, Best Short, Best Experimental, Best Documentary, Best Animation, and Best Student work. Best of Festival will also be awarded.
