SinCine NYC Film Fest: Sex, Drugs & Rock'n Roll!
After the second cumming, what's next?
SinCine NYC Film Fest organizers announced the third edition of the festival, sinfully themed SEX, DRUGS & ROCK'N ROLL. SinCine 2005 screened more than 20 erotically-themed films in NYC during its recent run at Gallery April 2005. The festival dates and locales will be announced in the coming weeks. The festival team begins its call for entries today as well.
"The second edition of the festival, while taking a while to get going, was a bigger and better this time around, and for that we have the filmmakers and festival goers to thank!" says Melissa Ulto, the festival director and co-founder. "We had very little in the way of sponsorship or marketing dollars, so the standing room only screening crowds were a wonderful bonus!"
Sin-Cine (pronounced SIN-SINay) NYC Erotic Film Fest 2005 screened documentaries, features, shorts, experimentals and animations, doling prizes and honors out to each category's winners. Films were judged by a panel of judges: Prizes consisted of a custom made statue, a gift certificate and other materials donated by sponsors. The festival has had help from sponsorships with Original Sin Hard Cider, RedlightTV.com, Love Jam, Cityvice.com, The Donkey Show, Tony & Tina, Toys in Babeland, REMOTE Lounge, and Gallery. The festival is actively seeking sponsors for the 2006, 2007 and 2008 editions of the festival, themed around sin, sex and cinema. Coming themes include SEX, DRUGS & ROCK'N ROLL (2006), SEVEN DEADLY SINS (2007), and REDEMPTION (2008).
The festival had standing room only screening attendance, live burlesque shows several times each night and international press attending, including Philth Magazine, the Film Festival Channel and Loosie.com. Guests of the festival included Gabi from As Four, Arturo Vega, and Pink Snow, pornrockstar.
So what's up for 2006? Rock bands, music videos, sex, drugs, burlesque, workshops and seminars...
