I'm a screenwriter/producer of two in-development screenplays, one is a psychological thriller entitled Memories of Murder. The other is a romantic comedy-drama entitled A Family Outing.

The tagline for Memories of Murder is: Some memories never fade. The synopsis is as follows:

On July 13, 1994, the small coastal central Florida town of Madera Verde, was christened in blood. Olivia and Victor Mendoza were caught up in the midst of a bitter litigation process. The high-profile case was about to turn over in their favor when they were brutally murdered on the night of the town's annual founders' day celebration. Their killer was never caught. Over a decade later, Olivia and Victor's now grown daughters, have finally been able to heal after losing both their parents in such a horrific manner. All is going well for the sisters. Katrina, the youngest of the two, is engaged to be married to her very supportive Marine boyfriend, Greg Sanders. The sisters's world comes crashing down around them, when an elusive assassin begins a reign of terror, sadistically offing those closest to them one by one. To make matters worse, Katrina's fiance has gone missing and ends up becoming the prime suspect. As the hours count down to the anniversary of their parents' deaths, the sisters rally to unravel the twisted web of betrayal, before they too, end up dead.

The tagline for A Family Outing is: Meet the Cerones. They put the "fun" in dysfunctional. The synopsis is as follows:

26-year-old Kimberly Cerone has been hurt, brow-beaten and looked down upon her whole life. Out of fifty plus relatives, the only person who gave a damn about her (her mom) died when she was 14. In a desperate bid for independence, she has made plans to get married. Throughout her journey to the altar, she has secretly sought the acceptance and approval of the same people she has been trying to escape. Her fianc, David, seems like the perfect guy. Theres just a couple of problems: shes having second thoughts and the respective in-laws-to-be already cant stand each other. With the big day finally here and the ceremony only an hour away, Kimberly begins thinking about how much she wants her freedom from her controlling, dysfunctional family. Is marriage the solution to all her problems or will it present more questions and surprises that Kimberly isnt up to dealing with?

We have a cast and crew partially assembled via letter of intent (for Memories of Murder), but both projects are as of yet unfunded. We have a few directors in mind, but again, no one will come on board without the capital necessary to make production possible.

If your interest has been piqued, please check out the following links.

P.S. Let me stress that we are NOT casting or hiring any crew at this time. Without funding, it would make as much sense as buying a Mercedes Benz and not being able to afford to drive it.
