Hello,
I have a question! I now have a Nikon D3100 which is awesome for photography! Buttttt! I've really started to get into filming and cinematography, so I was wondering what type of camcorder to get? My top price would probably be around $900. I want a camera that shoots at least 60 frames per second and shoots 1080p. Thanks! oh and if you want to you can check out my youtube channel that my friend and I put together! www.youtube.com/thebongofilms you don't have to go, but only if you want to!

Hi,
well i was searching for a camera a month ago. And looking at the top border you give, there are 2 good cameras in the CNET Top HD Camcorders http://reviews.cnet.com/best-hd-camcorders/ . I personally prefer the Panasonic HDC -TM700 because i don?t like Cannon so much. They both shoot with 1080/60p . The difference according to the editor rating in CNET is the design that the Cannon camcorder has is a bit better.
I hope i helped.
I liked the movie in your Youtube channel.I have an idea to share for the editing if you would like to hear it 🙂

For $900, all you're getting is a consumer camcorder. Among those, Panasonic is the only one in the price range that has 1080/60p.

60P is likely actually 59.94 fps and is really just an equivalent of 29.97 fps which is the "standard" in the USA.

If you're looking for "high speed" videography, you won't really find that in a consumer camera, at least not in the same way as you might find in an actual film camera. I have the Sony CX-700 http://store.sony.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&productId=8198552921666294237#accessories which does have a "slo mo" feature, but it only slows down about three seconds and turns it into about 10 seconds of video.
