I have a Sony FDX7 and purchased a 2.2x telephoto lens. i understand the purpose is essentially to see things that are far away clear but that's not happenening.

1st of all it has a vignette around image when i look through. when i zoom in to clear vignette out it is ridiculously blurry no matter how much i play with focus, iris, shutter speed, etc.

what am i doing wrong. it can not look at anything far away in the distance remotely in focus. feel stupid but just can't figure out how to use this lens?

ideas?
