Hi all,
Can anyone tell me what the difference between the
Canon DM XL-2
and the
Canon XL-2
is ...if any?
The DM is a PAL format camera the other is NTSC.

Are you sure?
These are for sale in the UK - and the XL-2 is more widely for sale than the DM version.
Also in the specifications, it quotes a 50i & 25p frame rate, where as the NTSC would be 60i & 24p (I believe according to this review... http://www.simplydv.co.uk/reviews/camcorders/canon/dv/canon-xl2-review.html)
Looks like you have more information about the two cameras than I do.
So what differences have you found? Are both of them NTSC? Is the DM a
PAL camera? Is the XL2 avalable in both PAL and NTSC but the DM only PAL?
I'd love to know what you found out.

Well I'm shopping in the UK, so I would imagine they are all PAL.
As far as I can see, they are one in the same. I've compared the specifications on numerous shops and they seem the same. Perhaps DM XL-2 is it's full title?
I couldn't see any difference visually or literally between the two!
I guess if all the spec's are the same then there is no difference.
