Hey fellow guerrilla-filmmakers,
I need to suspend a projector (about 20 pounds) up inside a sheetrocked, skylight window well in order to project some footage on the floor below. The problem is, I can't drill holes in the wall for stud mounting. Someone suggested using a pullup / chinup bar or two for building the mount so it would be held in by suspension.
Sounds like a reasonable idea, but I really don't want this beast to come falling down on someone's head, you know? (Let alone, break my expensive projector)...
Do any of you have experience with tension suspension off sheetrocked walls? Any ideas or stories to share? Suggestions for what else might be worth thinking about?
