Hi guys, I'm new here, looking forward to discussing with you all.

I studied professional broadcast techniques about ten years ago, been working as an FCP editor since but I'm dipping into camera work now.

I recently purchased a Canon 6D with a couple of lenses.

I'm keen to make sure that my subjects are nicely lit. I'm soon to be making a music video for a schools end of year project where children will be dancing to camera. I want to make sure they are nicely lit but can't afford to pay for lights and also to set them up so I'm looking for something to mount on top of the camera which will light them nicely.

Budget is no more than ?100, I assume that's possible? Otherwise, please let me know what models you would recommend.

Thanks!

AWM

Look at Litepanels Micro LED On-Camera Light.

ikan also makes them. Less expensive than Litepanels but not as reliable.

Hey there,
First and foremost: I work for Ikan. So, take this suggestion with that in mind.
I'd recommend, for your budget, the OYB120. On B&H, the price is right at $99.99, just inside your budget. Color quality is solid, and the intensity is on-par with the LitePanels Micro that the mod recommended.
No "ours is better for (insert reasons here)" stuff, but, if you decide to choose Ikan, that's the direction I would go.
You can find it on B&H here:?url? https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1335825-REG/ikan_oyb120_onyx_120_bi_color_aluminum.html?/url?

Yes, I work for Ikan.

Nice to have an ikan representative here. Welcome.

AWM posted this two and a half years ago and has never returned. I wonder what he went with...
