??:)?
I want to get started in high quality amateur film making. I was considering this as my starting equipment.

EOS 6D
24 to 105 lens
High Quality tripod
Mic adapter and high quality Mic (sennheiser most likely)
A rig and screen (need advice on what brand is good please give links)
And whatever else you advise me to get.
I dont think I will be doing tricky shots that would require 13,000$ cinema lens's. I am certain for the type of movies I want to make that wont be required. I have a steady hand anyway any shots that are even remotely that difficult I will just do it myself and call it good enough. I wont be doing any car chase scenes haha.
Please give me feedback before I commit myself to equipment. Thank you. I want to make high quality films.

I spoke to a photographer (not a film maker) on advise for the camera body. He is the one who suggested the 6D, he said that for the type of movies I want to make a 1DX isn't required, he also said the the 5D Mark 3 for an extra 1800$ isn't going to make a lick of difference on the quality of the production.

Please give me advice as I am continuing my research.
I picked my tripod based on the availability at my local camera store, and from posts on this sight.
Manfrotto 502A 546bk
I still need to keep researching and hopefully I can get some good advice on here. I was really shocked that a DSLR is used for Indie films and not a camcorder.

Hi,?:)?

You can buy all filmmaking tools from one shop that is from thecinecity. Their price is also best and quality is good.

I always use their products in order to complete my production set up. I am using their shoulder mount, hand held camera steadycam and jib and some other small accessories.

Shipping is very fast and customer service is really helpful. Recently bought Camera jib Camtree Flylite - 10 with with jib stand, I shooted one event with my new crane. Very easy to assemble and operate, perfect for aerial shots.
