Hello everyone, haven't been here in quite a while but I'm looking for some opinions and I knew this was the place to look for them.
I'm considering doing a big investment in equipment, to get a decent enough camera and mic, and after a bit of research I arrived at the conclusion that for my budget, the best option would be to get a Canon Vixia Hv30 camera, with an Audio Technica Atr6550 to go with it.
Now, I've been looking online for good prices, and came across a seller who has the camera up for sale, but includes under the price of US$ 1.100 the Hv30, a Twoneil 35mm adaptor, a Pentacon 50mm 1:8 lens, a Canon 50mm 1:8 lens, a wide angled Raynox HD6600 PRO HD lens (and a few other things like a firewire cable, and stuff, but those don't matter). Now, my questions are: Do you think it's a good deal? (All of the above are used items, though the seller says they're in perfect conditions, just like new). And I've read the twoneil adaptor flips the image... is there any way to correct that (other than on postproduction)?

I have a Canon Hv30 plus adapter setup too, but I built my own adapter.

It would be wise to seriously question the condition of the adapter. Even if the seller says that it is on good condition, I would still ask for close ups of the adapter to see exactly what damage has been done. Those things are overly sensitive.

Yes this is a good deal if it comes with all that stuff.
All adapters flip the image, the expenses ones flip them back. Personally, I have no problem with it. There are a couple of tricks you can do to get around it. First, you can look up a mirror setup for the LCD screen (do a quick search in google for this), or you can do a flip hack (look at MULTIPLE sources for this). Although not many dare to do the flip hack because you are messing with the wires, therefore messing with the guarantee. I tend to just film with and upside down LCD, surprisingly I don't really notice it that much anymore. If at any time it gets under my skin, I just twist the LCD forward until it dose that automatic flip.

But I have a better suggestion for you.
Instead of going this way and spending 1100 on a camera, take a look at a canon t2i. The price is around 800, leaving you off with a couple hundred to get a nice lens.
Although I have only filmed with the Canon Hv30 plus Adapter and not with the canon t2i, I have a good feeling (supported by some amazing footage I have seen online)that the Canon T2i is better.
