I've been looking into getting a camcorder for sometime now, so that I can start working on some short films. I was looking into buying the Canon HV30 and I was wondering if it's worth the price tag? I could get one very soon for about $600-700 USD, and I like most of the stuff i've read on it, but I just wanted to see what you guys thought about it. One important thing I'd like to know is if its 3ccd? Any other input on this camcorder would be great.
Welcome to filmmaking.net.
Nope. The Canon HV30 doesn't have 3CCD's. I has one 1/2" CMOS sensor.
I've used it. It's a nice camera with some manual controls and a mic input. it?s
so small the handling is difficult especially when you have both a monitor
and mic hooked up.
