Hello, this is my first post on the site. I am going to be working with my teenage son this summer on a "pseudo-documentary" of a wilderness adventure I will be taking in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. I will be running and mountain biking in some extreme terrain and need the best - but lightest - camera capable of shooting good video. Any really great point-and-shoots you would recommend or should I go with something like the new GoPro 3? I will be carrying a small backpack so size and weight are key here. This will mostly be used for self-video as I "interview" myself on the trail and shoot big landscapes, etc. Also, would an accessory mic be applicable with this set-up? The remainder of the video (the non-wilderness parts) we will be shooting with Canon DSLR's (7D). Any help is appreciated.
