Yo-
My friends are skaters and i'd love to film them. The problem is that i do not have any skate to film (follow) them.
I have a scooter ( that sort: )

Is there a way to attach my camera to the front of my scooter?
Sorry if this is not the right place to post this Topic

Hmm. Maybe a GorillaPod wrapped around the front? Your shots will be absurdly limited though.

Really in any kind of camera and vehicle situation, there should be a driver and a cameraman. Simply because where the camera needs to look isn't usually the direction that the vehicle needs to go. It's safer and easier.

In reality though, why don't you just try riding the scooter while holding the camera (get a neck strap if you don't have one). I wanted to take some shots for fun while I was go-karting, and it worked alright. Again, you will most likely run into or off of something a few times if you try that method.

thx a lot. But the problem is that if I wear a neck strap, the camera will be too high to film the skaters ( my camera has a 25 degree lens) (samsung SMX C10) and the proper way of filming skate is to put your camera really low. I think I am going to take the risk of buying a GorrilaPod

I will get a new camera after Christmas...?:(?

I've used this on bicycle handlebars:

Might I suggest using a GoPro? They are really great for stunts and such. Limited in lens choice (you get one) and it will only shoot 30fps, but they are very versatile and relatively inexpensive. I've been using them a lot while shooting behind-the-scenes on Fast & Furious for the past few months, mounting them on camera cars and trains and putting them in dangerous places that I wouldn't want to risk another camera in.
