hello,
I am looking to buy my first (video) camera. I read lots of reviews about Digital Video Cameras, under 1000 pounds it looks like the HDV camera Canon HFS10 is the best bet. I'd apppreciate some advice on this.

Just to clear up the confusion; HF-S10 is not HDV. It is AVCHD. Canon's only current HDV model (within VIXIA/Legria/iVIS line) is HV-40. Tests and reviews seem to indicate that HF-S10 has better image quality.

IF you still need help on what kind of camera to buy , you should check out HDCameraGuide.com , they have videos and information about all different cameras 🙂 Good luck!

Hi REsposito,

Two of your three posts point people to that website. How are you connected to them?
