I plan to make a brief (maybe 15 minute) poetry video--reading poetry while filming various scenes. I can make a DVD of it but I think my major distribution will be by internet download. A 15 minute film is a huge file. I was hoping I could stream the video. Bu I have no idea how. Does anyone know how to make streaming videos.

I guess there's always the option of using a site like youtube or Google video. However, I don't know how you get your video onto those sites.

Also, a watchable (but low quality) 15 minute video can be made in 15-20 megabytes. When I was creating a showreel for an actor I know we got a version down to about 1MB per minute for people on low-speed connections and it still looked OK in a small window, the compression artifacts only looked bad when you stretched the window out.

Actually, that would probably work for the internet. I would make a high quality version for the DVD of course. The quality of my analog to digital conversion is not so good anyway, frankly.
