Hello,

I am a English Fim Studies student at College and for my coursework I am making a short film. I was wondering how people schedule all the work and what they would do if they could do it all again.

Please reply...

Thanks
Lauren

Not sure what you mean about scheduling, but here's a thread I started a couple of months back along the lines of 'what I'd do differently'.

Don't rely on anything you can't control, I work in the UK and we had a great script but it needed blazing sunshine every day of a 5 day shoot, as you can imagine in the UK this just doesn't happen so our shoot was spread out over nearly two months working around the weather and unavoidable things like our unpaid actors getting offered some paid work etc.

Also, expect everything to take twice as long as you schedule, when I started I used to have huge shot lists that I'd never get through, there's always one shot that will take forever instead of 10 minutes.
