Hi everyone,

I have just got into online broadcasting and video emailing and am using them to market a few short DVD's that the community project that I belong to made to promote the work they do.

Have any of you used video emailing as a marketing tool?

All the best,

Hi Antonio,

That's quite the slippery slope in my opinion. Unless the recipients have significant bandwidth, embedding video in email is likely to turn people off. If you do go that route make sure to sign with a reputable email marketing company so that your messages are not filtered to spam... My advice is to create a compelling newsletter, directing recipients to your website where they can view your video.

My gut instinct is that folks will assume it is spam and thus ignore or delete it before they give it a chance if it comes through email.

I always like to turn this back on YOU.

Think of the way YOU find out about movies or DVD for sale. Do YOU look at "video emailing"
when it comes to your inbox? How often do you and your friends and family respond to this
type of marketing for this type of DVD?

Have you tried services like YouTube to host your film clips? Once hosted, it's usually less taxing to simply forward a link to your recipients.
