I'm doing some research and have been scouring the net for statistics but have had very little luck finding what I need.
I'm looking for:
A recent statistic for what percentage of US film revenues is from indie and foreign films? (ie. what is the indie+foreign film market share of the total film market)
Does anyone know where I can find this type of info? I thought it would be easy to find but it hasn't been.

i can tell you the reserach method but its very time consuming and it might not be a valid method as it is based on statistics
go to sites which show the films and their revenues. select 3,3 movies released in jan 20078.3 should be of US. should be Foreign, 3 should be Indies movies
make colunms of US movies, indie movies and foregn movies.write there revenues.then do the same for DEC 2007 in this way take the data of till jan 2007.but remember one thing dont take only the revenues of the movies who have made big revenues.Infact select from top and 3 from bottom. who made the least revenue.so it will make 6 indie movies for 1 month, 6 foerign movies for one month and 6 us movies for one monthe .now add the indie + foregn movies and take out there average.and add US movies and devide them on the same total of Indie and Foreign movies.average will guide you.

remember one thing dont take hollywood movies like having a director steven spealberg, lead role tom cruise. obviously they will be the biggest hits.lolz
you will have to be very sharp while selcting the movies.
