Clips and Bits distributes film footage on DVD but we have a unique method. Our system allows a viewer to pick and mix what they want on DVD. It is an ideal method for shorts movies from 3 minutes up to 2 hours and everything in between.The system is a complete solution including a web interface. We take care of the production of the DVD and shipment.
I am looking for someone in the Independant film making community to take this on and work with the filmmakers to build up an archive of films etc. Each Film maker will be identified as a category and a royalty is allocated to them when a film is sold on dvd. The website is basic at the moment but i have secured two clients including TVAM archives. Sounds interesting. I'm always looking for a way to get my product out there and make a little money.
The problem I'm having isn't finding a company that will take care of the production of the DVD and shipping - there are several dozen out there. It's the advertising. How are you driving people to you site so they can find the movies?

Advertising is the issue with all products. As I mentioned our system allows a viewer to pick and mix so it is unique in itself. The drive will be with all footage "donars" to make the site aware in there own channel and drive viewers to this site. We could tie up links with other commercial sites like amazon etc but as always you need to give up a little. The real drive would be for someone who takes this on boards to accept that this could be the only place on the planet where you could get 10 unique 5 minute short film on DVD from 10 seperate film makers . yes downloads on Youtube are an option but you are in amoungst the 10's of thousands who push there mobile phone movie up there. This Filmmakers site should be solely for Filmmakers. One could drive sponsorship from Adobe and other manufactures of Film making equipment and software.
